Bribing Scotland to remain in UK

BRISTOL MPs raised suspicions of a done deal with Edinburgh, reports the Evening Post (March 9) following the announcement that the Green Investment Bank will have the bulk of its £3 billion operation in the Scottish capital.

Hardly a surprise considering the wily Alex Salmond has the British Government dancing to his tune. No doubt more funds will be sent north to bribe the Scottish people to reject independence. It would not be surprising if, for the next two years, whatever Scotland wants it will get, to the detriment of the rest of the UK. Expect a policy of appeasement by unionist politicians at Westminster prepared to pay any price to keep Scotland in the UK – a price paid with English taxes. Create an English Parliament and perhaps its MPs might represent their constituents as successfully as Members of the Scottish Parliament do for theirs.
